The Grande Prairie Pride Society is excited to be repainting the rainbow crosswalk on 98 Street and we’re happy to announce that we’ll be adding the crosswalk across 103 Avenue to this years event, happening this June in honor of Pride Month.
We are able to do this each year thanks to generous donations from community members. If you would like to help sponsor the cost of this year’s paint, please reach out to grandeprairiepridesociety@gmail.com.
The crosswalk will be repainted on June 2, 2025, weather permitting, and Everyone is invited to take part. Please stay tuned on our social media channels.
We will start painting at 10 a.m. and would love if you’d join us in the hours that follow at the intersection by City Hall and the Montrose Cultural Centre. We will have games, music, Pride Merchandise, and a barbecue on site cooking up burgers, hotdogs, and smokies; along with pop & snacks, so stop by for lunch and support our fundraiser to help us cover the cost of paint this year.
The rainbow crosswalks are located at the intersection of 98 Street and 103 Avenue, North of City Hall and next to the Grande Prairie Public Library.
June 2, 2025 (weather permitting) from 10 a.m. to 2:00 pm. Should the weather not cooperate, the crosswalk painting will take place on another day later that same week. Please stay tuned on our social media channels.
The crosswalk painting is free to attend! The more the merrier. We will have a BBQ on site selling Burgers, Hotdogs and Smokies, and assorted Pop, Water, and Snacks; as well as Pride Merchandise available for purchase. All of the sales made this day will help us pay for the paint required to repaint the crosswalks each year, along with the donations we receive from the Community.
